Respond to Your School Place Offer for September 2020 Entry
You must respond by no later than Thursday 30 April 2020 to let us know if you wish to accept or decline the offer made to your child. When you respond, you must also tell us if you would like to be added to any waiting lists for higher preferred schools listed on your application. If we do not hear from you by Thursday 30 April 2020, your offer may be withdrawn and the place may be offered to another child.
Offers are made on the basis of the information supplied on the application form. Fraudulent or misleading applications may lead to the subsequent withdrawal of an offer. Failure to notify admissions directly of any change of circumstances will be considered as deliberately misleading.
If you have not been offered a named school and you would like to be considered for other options, please email [email protected]
Online applications: If you made your application online, you should log on to the portal to respond to your offer. You will also have the option to request for your child's name to be added to a waiting list for higher preferred schools.
Do not use the online portal to inform the School Admissions team of any other changes to your application as these will not be considered. All changes should be sent in writing to [email protected]
Paper common application form: If you completed the common application form, you must email your response and waiting list request to [email protected] or by post: School Admissions, Achieving for Children, Town Hall, St. Ives Road, Maidenhead, SL6 1RF
Waiting List Guidelines
Further offers will be made to applicants from waiting lists as places become available from Tuesday 26 May 2020. Waiting list positions will also be available from this date. Please do not contact the Admissions team or the schools for waiting list information before this date as it will not be available.
No child will automatically be placed on a waiting list; this must be requested. If you have not requested for your child's name to be added to a waiting list and you wish to do so, please let us know in writing by email [email protected] or by post to School Admissions, Achieving for Children, Town Hall, St. Ives Road, Maidenhead, SL6 1RF.
You can only request to be added to a waiting list for higher preferred schools named on your application. Requests for lower preferred schools are invalid and will not be considered. Instead, you must submit a request for a late change of preference in writing; your request will be processed during the second round of allocations from Tuesday 26 May 2020. We will not accept a request to change your preference order over the telephone.
Waiting lists are ranked by the school's over-subscription criteria and not by the date your child's name was added to the waiting list. Positions may go up or down as names are added and removed from the list.
If we are able to offer your child a place from the waiting list, the existing offer will automatically be taken away. Let us know in writing as soon as possible if you are happy with the offer you have received and no longer wish for your child to be considered for any other schools.
If you have applied for a school place outside the borough, please contact the appropriate admitting authority for their waiting list rules.

Applications for a school place must be made through your home authority - this is the council where you live and to which you pay council tax. Residents can apply for non-Royal Borough schools through using this application process.
The online facility for on time applications is closed and is not available for late applications. If you are an RBWM resident and wish to make a late application please contact school admissions to request a form - [email protected]

Primary School Admissions covers pupils starting at either:
- Primary or First school at the beginning of Reception - born between 01/09/2015 to 31/08/2016.
- Junior school at the beginning of Year 3 - born between 01/09/2012 to 31/08/2013.
Children in England can take up a full-time school place in a Reception class in the September following their fourth birthday, but there is no requirement for them to be in full-time education until the start of the school term following their fifth birthday. An application must still be made at the correct time even if you wish to delay or defer your child's entry.
Full details of the admissions process are published in the online guide - Admission into Primary School September 2020 guide. Please take the time to read this guide before applying.
