The Royal Borough’s new Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) is now up and running and provides a single point of access to early help and safeguarding services.

Children, young people and their families in the borough will be even more protected because of additional partnership working across the statutory and voluntary services.

The partners who make up the MASH are:

  • Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead,
  • Thames Valley Police,
  • Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust,
  • National Probation Service.

The services supporting MASH are:

  • Housing,
  • Youth Offending and Youth Services.

Based in the Town Hall in Maidenhead, the hub brings agencies together who analyse all the relevant information from their systems to identify risks to children, young people and their families, and assess their level of priority.

The new single point of contact replaces existing referral points and will allow agencies to work more closely together.

If you are concerned about a child or young person, you can contact the MASH by calling 01628 683150. If you are phoning out of hours you can contact the Emergency Duty Team (EDT) on 01344 786543.

Remember if you believe a child or young person is in immediate danger, call 999.

More detailed information on how to make a referral to MASH is available from the Local Safeguarding Children Board website.
