WAM Gets Recycling

The Royal Borough and WAM (Windsor Ascot Maidenhead) Get Involved will be working together to improve recycling in your local community.

How the scheme will work

The scheme, sponsored by our new waste collections contractor, Serco, will work through recycling ambassadors who will be able to earn funds for their local group or charity by volunteering to knock on doors and talk to neighbours and residents in their local community about recycling.

In return for volunteering, donations will be made to their local group or charity.

Full training will be given to all recycling ambassadors.

There will be a community incentive grants pot available, funded by Serco and RBWM, so in return for volunteering, local good causes and charities will benefit financially.

What else does the new scheme involve

Residents will also be able to choose which local group or charity can receive additional funding through a voting system.

Local groups and charities can find out more about how to get involved in the new WAM partnership by signing up to receive regular updates as more information becomes available.
