Recycling and rubbish
Stafferton Way tip reopens
Stafferton Way Household Waste and Recycling Site will reopen on Monday 11 May 2020 following a temporary closure due to the COVID-19 outbreak to give residents the chance to dispose of waste that cannot be safely stored at home.
Waste and recycling collections moved to fortnightly
On Monday 6 April 2020 we moved to fortnightly waste and recycling collections following staff reductions due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
This meant from Monday 6 April general waste (black bin) is collected one week and recycling (blue bin) collected the following week but food waste collections will continue to be collected weekly. Your collection date will remain the same.
Those in properties where the bins are communal will continue to have all their waste and recycling collected weekly.
Textiles and small electrical items
Currently collections of textiles and small electrical items are being made by a separate van and not by the recycling crews. Please continue to leave your bags out for collection and they will be picked up. If your items have not been collected by 4pm on your collection day, please report it.
