Cycle rides opportunity

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead are working with the Maidenhead Cycling Hub to set up 20 free led cycle rides in and around the Maidenhead area.

If you have a bike and you haven’t used it for a while or you haven’t got a bike but would like to give cycling a go- this is the opportunity for you! 

Please see individual rides for specific age groups:

  • Saturday 17 February 2018, Family Ride (6-8 miles) Bray Lake departing at 2pm.
  • Wednesday 21 February 2018, over 50's Ride (10-15 miles) Windsor leasure centre departing at 2pm.
  • Saturday 3 March 2018, Adults Only (16-20 miles) Waldeck House departing at 2pm.
  • Wednesday 7 March 2018, over 50's Ride (10-15 miles) The Magnet Leisure Centre, Maidenhead departing at 2pm.
  • Saturday 17 March 2018, Family Ride (6-8 miles) Bray Lake departing at 2pm.
  • Wednesday 21 March 2018, over 50's Ride (10-15 miles) Windsor leasure centre departing at 2pm.
  • Saturday 24 March 2018, Adults Only (16-20 miles) Waldeck House departing at 2pm

Maidenhead parkrun

Free 5km, run, jog, walk every Saturday 9am

parkrun is a international initiative at various locations around the world. It is a free timed run every weekend held at local parks and recreation grounds. The Royal Borough helped set up this parkrun after an idea that came third place in the council’s Bright Idea Challenge competition. 

Maidenhead’s 5km parkrun takes place at every Saturday at Braywick Park SL6 1DX, starting at 9am. It is for people of all ages and running abilities. You can do the course at your own pace or try and beat a specific time.
