Fit for life week

Calling all Sports Clubs and Leisure Providers for the January 2018 Fit for Life Week

The Fit For Life Week is back for it’s 4th year running and this time the sports week will be bigger and better than ever before.

It is a promotional sports week which offers the chance to local sports clubs, leisure centres and leisure providers to advertise and promote their clubs, their sessions or any sports offers through the free brochure the Sports Development Team compile and distribute to the public.

It will give the public an opportunity to try a range of activities in which they enjoy and continue to participate in on a regular basis as well as supporting recruitment for local clubs.

Here is what some of the sports clubs and leisure providers said about previous Fit for Life Week.

"I would like to say a massive thank you for organising the Fit for Life workshop which took place last week. As a newbie to the area, you have been extremely supportive, helpful and informative with all aspects of the process.

I had 26 people enrol on the Belly dancing workshop and 23 onto the Bollywood. The participants loved it; I've had very positive feedback. In fact, these were the numbers after about 5-6 people didn't show up. So there is definitely a demand for belly dancing and Bollywood dancing. Thank you for helping me identify it." - Kamna Kay

The next Fit for Life Week, will be talking place on:

Saturday 20 January 2018 to Sunday 28 January 2018.

The Fit for Life Week will also see the launch of the Maidenhead Fitness Expo, hosted in the Nicholson Centre.

If you would like to take part, please consider what you may be able to offer, with an emphasis around activities suitable for a ‘beginner’ in your sport and are able to offer free sessions. You will then need to complete the online application form or download the form and send it back to the Sports Development Team latest by Friday 1 December 2017
