Minerals and Waste Plans

The current Minerals and Waste Plans for the Royal Borough are:

  • The Replacement Minerals Local Plan (Incorporating the Alterations Adopted in December 1997 and May 2001).
  • The Waste Local Plan for Berkshire (adopted December 1998).

Both the Minerals Local Plan and the Waste Local Plan are available to view or download.

Emerging Plans and Policies:

The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, Bracknell Forest Council, Reading Borough Council and Wokingham Borough Council (collectively referred to as 'Central & Eastern Berkshire Authorities') are working in partnership to produce a Joint Minerals & Waste Plan which will guide minerals and waste decision-making in the Plan area.

The Joint Minerals and Waste Plan will build upon the formerly adopted minerals and waste plans for the Berkshire area and improve, update and strengthen the policies and provide details of strategic sites that we propose will deliver the vision. It will include consideration of the current levels of provision for minerals and waste facilities.

Please see our "Emerging Plans and Policies" webpage for further information.
