6. Preliminary Draft Charging Schedule
This Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Preliminary Draft Charging Schedule (PDCS) sets out the proposed rates that will be applied to new development within the borough. The rates vary by the location of and type of development. The funds raised will be used to secure the provision of infrastructure.
We believe the rates are set at a level that strikes an appropriate balance between the need to fund infrastructure in the borough without imposing an undue economic burden on development viability.
The purpose of the PDCS is to seek your feedback on our proposed approach, so that we can take that into consideration before we finalise the Draft Charging Schedule.
We are now inviting representations on the PDCS. All comments should be received by us by 5pm Monday 20 July 2015.
