Maidenhead Waterways Restoration Group is a charity set up by the people of Maidenhead for the town of Maidenhead, to restore and enlarge the old waterways that run through Maidenhead town centre. The project is one of the key elements of the Royal Borough's adopted Area Action Plan to rejuvenate and grow Maidenhead town centre.
With the first four sections already completed, the contracted works will continue through most of 2017, followed by installation of the weir that will fully lift the surface water level to fill the newly enlarged channels. View a Youtube 'fly through' video of the entire route section by section, showing progress to date and next stages.
