Enjoy afternoon musical performances on the bandstand in Windsor Castle’s Jubilee Garden, which was created to mark The Queen’s Golden Jubilee in 2002. Band concerts take place at Windsor Castle on 8, 14, 15, 29 September from 12–1pm and 2-3pm. Family Festival: Queen Victoria’s circus takes place on Saturday, 14 September, 10am-4pm. Go back in time to Victorian England at Windsor Castle’s biggest-ever family festival. Enjoy falconry and horse-riding displays, storytelling, musical performances and dressing-up opportunities, as well as the thrilling centrepiece: a Victorian circus troupe, inspired by the travelling menagerie that visited Windsor Castle in 1847. Children can choose from a range of art and craft projects, including the chance to make their own version of Queen Victoria’s diamond crown. The ‘Queen Victoria’s crown jewels’ workshop takes place on 7, 21, 28 September, 11am-4pm (3pm on 7 September). Norden Farm Centre for the Arts
Advantage Card discount of £2 for “Still No Idea”, by House presents Bunny on Thursday 26 Sept 7.30pm. Best mates Lisa and Rachael made a show together 10 years ago. They had no idea where to start so they asked the public for some storylines. The show was called No Idea. But that was a few years ago and the world has changed, right? This is a mischievous look at where we were then and where we are now. Part verbatim theatre, part comedy sketch show with a bit of singing and dancing. Royal Windsor Information Centre
The information centre based in Windsor Royal Shopping can provide tickets for days out, tours and events in the borough and further afield, along with accommodation. This month there are tickets for the Windsor Festival from 15-29 September with a fantastic line-up of shows, talks and music. Windsor Fringe follows from 20 September to 6 October. Tickets can be purchased in person or online at https://tickets.windsor.gov.uk/Sales/default.aspx. There are also souvenir guidebooks, commemorative china and maps which make for lovely gifts for visitors. The team can help with accommodation booking for guests coming to stay.
