1. About the service

The garden waste collection service is now suspended until further notice (from 24/3/20), in order to prioritise collections of rubbish, recycling and food waste. We apologise for any inconvenience. Any missed weeks will be added to the end of the paid subscription at no extra cost when the service resumes.

Please reduce the amount of garden waste produced or manage your garden waste at home during this exceptional time.

Here are some ideas of ways to reduce your garden waste:

Grasscycling:  Grasscycling is the natural recycling of grass by leaving clippings on the lawn when mowing.  Grass clippings contain moisture, valuable nutrients, and decompose quickly. Grasscycling saves time and money and helps the environment. Mowing time is reduced since bagging and disposal of clippings is eliminated. Grass clippings add valuable nutrients and organic matter to the soil and produce healthy, green lawns.

Build a compost heap and compost your garden waste. More information can be found at www.getcomposting.com

Reduce the frequency at which you cut the lawn and let the grass grow longer.
