2. Progress of neighbourhood plans

Ascot, Sunninghill and Sunningdale neighbourhood plan

The neighbourhood plan was made part of the development plan for the area at the council meeting on Tuesday 29 April 2014. The plan was subject to a referendum on Thursday 27 March 2014. 91% of those voting in the referendum supported the adoption of the plan by the Royal Borough.

Bisham neighbourhood plan

Bray neighbourhood plan

The neighbourhood plan has been examined; view the examiner's report. The Parish council have decided not to progress the neighbourhood plan as proposed by the independent examiner.

Central Windsor business neighbourhood plan, Windsor 2030

Central Windsor Business Forum The 'Windsor 2030' forum is drafting policies and members are looking at sites to be included in the plan. They are finalising a pre-submission draft of the plan and considering when they should consult on it. View the Windsor2030 website or email: [email protected]

Cookham neighbourhood plan

Cabinet has approved the designation of the parish as a Neighbourhood Area.

The Parish Council applied for the designation of the whole parish as the Cookham Neighbourhood Plan Area. This application was the subject of public consultation which ran from Thursday 27 February 2020 until midnight on Sunday 12 April 2020.

Cox Green neighbourhood plan

Cabinet has approved the designation of the parish as a Neighbourhood Area.

The Parish Council applied for the designation of the whole parish as a neighbourhood plan area (separate from Maidenhead). This application was the subject of a public consultation which ran from Monday 24 June until midnight on Sunday 4 August 2019.

Datchet neighbourhood plan

The group has restarted the neighbourhood plan under a new chair and is looking for more volunteers. The group is considering ways to get the views from as wide a range of people as possible and how to take the plan forward. Eton and Eton Wick neighbourhood plan

The neighbourhood plan was made part of the development plan for the area at the council meeting on Tuesday 25 September 2018. The plan was subject to a referendum in July 2018. 88% of those voting in the referendum supported the adoption of the plan by the Royal Borough.

Horton and Wraysbury neighbourhood plan

The neighbourhood plan was made part of the development plan for the area at the council meeting on Tuesday 23 June 2020. The plan was subject to a referendum on Thursday 30 January 2020. 83% of those voting in the referendum supported the adoption of the plan by the Royal Borough.

Hurley and the Walthams neighbourhood plan

The neighbourhood plan was made part of the development plan for the area at the council meeting on Tuesday 12 December 2017. The plan was subject to a referendum in March 2017. 81% of those voting in the referendum supported the adoption of the plan by the Royal Borough.

Maidenhead and Cox Green neighbourhood plan

Due to boundary changes there may now be two neighbourhood plans and Maidenhead are looking for new members of a forum for the town to take the neighbourhood plan forward. Please see the application by Cox Green (above).

Maidenhead neighbourhood area and neighbourhood forum

An application was received by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead for the designation of a Maidenhead Neighbourhood Area and Maidenhead Neighbourhood Forum. This application was the subject of a public consultation which ran from Monday 25 November 2019 until midday on Monday 6 January 2020.

Old Windsor 

The Old Windsor Neighbourhood Plan has passed the Referendum with an overwhelming majority and was formally made part of the development plan at the full council meeting on Tuesday 17 December 2019.

The Neighbourhood Plan will now be used as part of the Development Plan in determining planning applications.

The plan has been examined and the examiner's report is available to view, and the modified Neighbourhood Plan is available to view.

Windsor (excluding Central Windsor) 

The Windsor neighbourhood plan Forum has submitted their submission version neighbourhood plan to the Royal Borough. The regulation 16 "Submission" consultation ran from Monday 20 May until midnight on Friday 5 July 2019. The regulation 16 "Submission" consultation documents can viewed on our Consultation Portal. This neighbourhood plan is being independently examined.
