Over 80 young people will benefit from an arts or sports bursary awarded by the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead.
The bursaries will be awarded as part of Maidenhead at the Movies this Friday 16 August in Kidwells Park.
The bursaries, which are supported by the Maidenhead Advertiser’s Louis Baylis Charitable Trust and match funded by the Royal Borough, will be awarded after the screening of a short film made by previous arts bursary recipient Will Liney.
The presentation, which runs from 12pm – 1:30pm, will include the awarding of 53 sports player bursaries, eight coach bursaries and 26 arts bursaries.
Cllr Samantha Rayner, lead member for culture, communities and Windsor, said: “The annual awards are a wonderful time where we can invest in so many promising sportsmen and women, coaches and artists.
“Our borough is rich in brilliant sports and arts facilities and it’s vital we continue to support those who will fill these places for years to come.
“Each and every recipient deserves our support and it’s important to celebrate and encourage the fabulous talent in our community.”
Maidenhead at the Movies kicks off at 10am on Friday 16 with a screening of Dumbo, ending with Bohemian Rhapsody on Sunday 18 at 7pm.
