Fit for Life 55+

Sports clubs, leisure centres and activity providers across the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead will be offering over 55s the chance to try activities for free between now and Sunday 6 October.

Part of the Fit for Life 55+ scheme, over 55s will be able to trial a number of exciting taster sessions, from seated exercise classes and Pilates, to walking netball and walking football. There are a wide range of activities on offer, suited for both beginners and those coming back to the activity after a break.

Cllr Stuart Carroll, lead member for adults, children and health, said: “Fit for Life 55+ is a great opportunity to try a new activity or get back into something you used to enjoy, while meeting new friends along the way.

“There are some really great sessions on over the two weeks, and I would encourage anyone who is interested to check the timetable of events and give at least one a go.”

The full timetable of taster sessions and information on how to sign up can be found at: www3.rbwm.gov.uk/publichealth.

Alternatively, you can contact the sports development team directly at [email protected] or by calling 01628 685794.
