Director of Adult Services appointed

Hilary Hall has been appointed as the Director of Adult Services at the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead.

The appointment was made following a recommendation from Employment Panel in September, and Hilary started the role in October. 

Hilary has been at the council for nearly six years, starting as Head of Strategy, Commissioning and Performance initially in children’s services. 

Councillor Stuart Carroll, lead member for adult social care, children’s services, health and mental health, says: “Hilary is an outstanding officer and I am delighted she has been promoted into this role.

“Her knowledge and experience in previous roles will help ensure that our residents continue to receive an excellent service as well as changing it for the better taking on board how we can transform the service.”

Hilary adds: “I am delighted to have been appointed to this role. It is an area that I am passionate about having overseen the move of our adult services into the local authority trading company, Optalis, in 2017.

“I am very much looking forward to working with all the staff in Optalis and all our partners who are all committed to delivering high quality services to our residents.” 

Hilary’s previous roles at the Royal Borough include Deputy Director, Strategy and Commissioning and Head of Adults, Children and Health.

The appointment was made following the previous DASS, Angela Morris, leaving to take up the Director of Adults role at the London Borough of Harrow.
