School nursing service

Please be advised that we are continuously reviewing the situation with regards to the coronavirus.

We are regularly updating our Facebook Page (@WindsorAscotandMaidenheadHealthVisitingTeam), as the situations arise.

We are liaising closely with health agencies within the Thames Valley and will keep you posted of any changes that will impact our service provision to you, as and when they occur.  We aim to be proportionate in our management of the current situation and your safety is of our utmost concern.  We therefore would appreciate your understanding during this difficult time.

The school nursing team is a public health nursing service looking after the health and wellbeing of children attending a maintained, academy or free school in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.  We consist of specialist practitioners, staff nurses and school health screeners.  The school nurse is a registered nurse with a postgraduate qualification in public health.

School nurses are the professional lead for the prevention and early intervention public health programme called the Healthy Child Programme for the age group 5-19 years.

We are here to give confidential advice and support to children, young people and their families.
