Recycling and rubbish
Waste and recycling collections moving to fortnightly
Waste and recycling collections moving to fortnightly during COVID19.
From Monday 6 April 2020 we will be moving to fortnightly waste and recycling collections following staff reductions due to the COVID19 outbreak.
This means from Monday 6 April general waste (black bin) will be collected one week and recycling (blue bin) will be collected the following week but food waste collections will continue to be collected weekly. Your collection date will remain the same.
Those in properties where the bins are communal will continue to have all their waste and recycling collected weekly.
We will share more details on this, including which bin will be collected when in the coming days so please bear with us.
Textiles and small electrical items
Currently collections of textiles and small electrical items are being made by a separate van and not by the recycling crews. Please continue to leave your bags out for collection and they will be picked up. If your items have not been collected by 4pm on your collection day, please report it.
